I thought this year would be the start of good things. Not so in Los Angeles. Given the horrifying, widespead fires, my painting, "Paradise Lost", (pictured here), will be relevant for a long time. I cleared out some of my favorite things, (just in case), and went south. My studio is safe but friends have lost their homes. Ash rains down like snowflakes and coats everything. I've been walking in circles and feel out of sorts.

I've started some new projects on paper and am going to hold off on oil painting until I can work in a ventilated space again.
